50-Cent Sterling Silver Proof Cat Coins
Canada is home to a variety of
domestic and wild cats guaranteed to delight the most finicky cat
fan.

There is the Cougar, the second
largest cat in the New World. Also known as the mountain lion or
puma, this powerful hunter features prominently in Canada's native
legends. Or consider the Lynx, a wildcat that thrives in the harsh
Canadian winter with its oversize paws, long legs, and tufted ears that
amplify sound.
Canada also has its own domestic
breeds. Since 1965, the Canadian Cat Association has introduced two
breeds to the international cat scene. The Tonkinese was Canada's
first pedigree cat. A cross between Siamese and Burmese, "Tonks" (as
they are also known) are extremely outgoing and playful.
The Cymric evolved from the tailless
Manx and received official breed recognition in the late 1970's.
Compact and muscular, the Cymric is a "rotund" cat with a round body,
rump, eyes, and paws.
